The current exhibition of works by Anglesey based artist Roy Alexander at Gery-Y-Fenai, Llanfairpwll, Liverpool Pictures, Albert Dock, Liverpool and Covered Arts, The Covered Market, Oxford. Includes paintings of Liverpool, Chester, Oxford and London. Other works on show are paintings of Cornish seaside villages and East coast harbours together with a series of highly detailed pictures of steam trains.

During a Demonstration Evening Roy will discuss the various techniques he uses in his pictures and will demonstrate a painting composition.

Sessions will be about 2½ hours, during which the materials he uses will be explained. After which Roy will undertake a demonstration of one of his favoured paintings showing the development of the image from the earliest stages to the intricacies of the detail work.

The demonstration is not intended as an art lesson but will focus specifically on Roy’s unique painting style and is a must attend for anyone interested in painting buildings and architecture.

Questions will be invited during the session with answers that will hopefully assist or indeed change your approach to painting.
